About

I’m Burhan Pisavadi. I work at an early stage VC fund focused on decarbonising the built environment. My background is in theoretical physics (my dissertation was on climate modelling), and I’ve spent years as a product manager before moving into venture capital.

I’m interested in what technology can do to make our lives easier — whether that’s automating the tedious parts of being a VC investor, finding underpriced London flats, or simulating energy markets.

I co-founded an EdTech startup, which raised funding and is still going. I sit on a few boards, both for startups and for a government-backed fund investing in social enterprises.

This blog documents what I’m building, why I’m building it, and what I’ve learned along the way.
